    The study program provides a multidisciplinary approach to human resource studies, organization studies, and sociology with a focus on so called 'wicked-problems'. 'Wicked problems' are (societal) issues or challenges that are highly resistant to resolution, varying from climate change to poverty and from demographic issues like an aging work force to social inequality, It is therefore perfect for students who are interested in the social sciences and are conscious of the fact that many challenges in today's society ask for non-traditional thinking and creative problem-solving skills. BSc Global Management of Social Issues is a multidisciplinary small-scale interactive program with a strong emphasis on questions that are relevant to today's societies. It teaches multiple competencies and helps students to analyze wicked problems and formulate practical implications. It also prepares students for an international career. The program goes beyond the limits of one specialization and makes sure that students can be employed in different companies, departments and projects. Students will gain analytical thinking skills & multiple competencies preparing them for an international career.

    2. taaltoets cijfer Since the Bachelor's program in Global Management of Social Issues is taught entirely in English, you must demonstrate your English language proficiency*. Tilburg University accepts the following tests, which cannot be older than two years at the time of application: * Academic IELTS (minimum score 6.0 overall, minimum score of 5.5 for each part); * TOEFL (minimum score of 80 for the internet-based test, 550 for the paper-based test; the TOEFL institutional code of Tilburg University is 9860); * Cambridge Proficiency Examination (CPE, score A, B or C) or Cambridge Advanced English (CAE, score A, B or C). Please note: You must meet these requirements at the time of application. If you do not, we will not be able to process your application further. * There is no need to take an English language test if: * you are a native English speaker, i.e. if you are a citizen of one of the following countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom or the United States of America; * you completed all your secondary education in English either at an international school or in one of the following countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom or the United States of America; * your high school diploma is the Dutch VWO or the German Zeugnis der Allgemeinen Hochschulreife, and English was one of the examination subjects.

If your academic results in Mathematics are not very high, you will be required to follow a mathematics course in the first year.

Your motivation letter and CV will provide input for a 20-minute interview (via Skype) with a representative of our Admissions Committee. During the interview, you will have the opportunity to discuss your academic ambitions, background, personal interests and motivation for following this program of study. The interview will be held in English. Your application will be assessed according to the following criteria: * motivation and a broad range of interests; * ambition and the desire for intellectual challenge and personal development; * an international mindset and the ability to adapt to a multicultural classroom; * a high level of self-motivation and self-discipline; * an interest in participating in small-scale, interactive classes as well as lectures; * an interest in sharpening your ability to think critically and analytically; and * a commitment to a career in which the social sciences play a central role.
