    Electronics and electronic systems have become the enabling technology of the material world. Develop the skills and knowledge to engineer the electronic signals that pervade the world around us.

    Our MEng in Electronic Engineering with Computer Systems includes the core learning of the BEng Electronic Engineering and MEng Electronic Engineering to give you a thorough grounding in the field. You then have the opportunity to specialise and gain a greater understanding of the practical industrial applications of computer systems. Key areas of study include:

    • computer networks
    • advanced computer architecture
    • applied parallel and concurrent programming
    • computational modelling

    Our MEng Electronic Engineering with Computer Systems will provide you with the skills to work in any area of the electronics industry. We have excellent relationships with employers, and have our own Careers Hub website. We also run an annual careers fair.

    UK requirements for international applications

    Universities in the United Kingdom use a centralized system of undergraduate application: University and College Admissions Service (UCAS). It is used by both domestic and international students. Students have to register on the UCAS website before applying to the university. They will find all the necessary information about the application process on this website. Some graduate courses also require registration on this website, but in most cases students have to apply directly to the university. Some universities also accept undergraduate application through Common App (the information about it could be found on universities' websites).

    Both undergraduate and graduate students may receive three types of responses from the university. The first one, “unconditional offer” means that you already reached all requirements and may be admitted to the university. The second one, “conditional offer” makes your admission possible if you fulfill some criteria – for example, have good grades on final exams. The third one, “unsuccessful application” means that you, unfortunately, could not be admitted to the university of you choice.

    All universities require personal statement, which should include the reasons to study in the UK and the information about personal and professional goals of the student and a transcript, which includes grades received in high school or in the previous university.

    Alternative Qualifications:

    We welcome applications from candidates offering qualifications other than A and AS levels (including BTEC Higher National Diploma, European Baccalaureate, International Baccalaureate, Irish Leaving Certificate and Scottish Highers). You will be expected to attain an equivalent standard (or higher) to an A level applicant.

    International Qualifications:

    We welcome applications from international students.

    Mature Applicants:

    We welcome applications from mature students. If you will be over 21 at the start of your proposed degree programme, you are may be eligible for exemption from our normal entry requirements. However, you will be required to provide evidence of having completed recent study (eg Access, Return to Study, Open University foundation courses) and of your capacity to pursue the course.
